First Avenue, a renowned out-of-home marketer and media company, was looking for a solution to extend poster campaigns online. To this end, an app was to be developed that would process its customers' campaigns online and enrich them with additional features such as individual coupons and competitions. A points system was to strengthen user loyalty and enable further interaction opportunities with the target groups.
In order to further expand the monetization of its print campaigns, First Avenue faced two challenges:
Legacy App
The existing app with poor ratings and an outdated code base had to undergo a complete redesign and redevelopment. The aim was to take existing users into account and offer them the easiest possible transition to the new app.
Adding new functionality
In order to offer advertisers an attractive way to extend their print campaigns, further innovative functions should be integrated. For example, users should earn Cippy Coins by interacting with campaigns and exchange them for coupons, rewards and competitions.

The introduction of Cippy Coins, which can be earned through interaction with online campaigns, is a key step towards increasing added value for advertising companies and app users. The Laravel backend of the Cippy app ensures secure and efficient data processing. It provides a solid basis for the further development and scaling of the platform. In addition, it takes into account the strict regulatory requirements that apply to the implementation of competitions in Italy.
The implementation of a cloud-based CI/CD pipeline enabled fast and efficient software updates. Automated tests ensured consistently high code quality.
The launch of the app was successful and existing users were migrated smoothly. Thanks to a comprehensive redesign and new development, the app was equipped with innovative functions that both strengthen user loyalty and offer advertisers an attractive platform.
